Patience: Linda Stasi can cross that off her bucket list!

The face paced New York minute columnist for The New York Post is usually a heartbeat away from a deadline or disaster, but she spent six years writing her first novel: The Sixth Station.

“It took me six years to write this she said,”  “You know, I’m a tabloid journalist so you can call me up and say I got the cure for cancer and I’ll say – ya ya, ya, hurry up, hurry up, hurry up – I’ve got a half hour.  So taking six years to do anything is pretty insane.“

Her first fiction work is quite a departure from previous books which range from topics like: Looking Good Is the Best Revenge to A Field Guide to Impossible Men

The idea emerged from a “road trip” she took through Turkey with her husband which takes her into some weird territory:  She traveled with an exorcist priest from the Vatican, she stayed with Monks and climbed a mountain twice.

Here is a snippet book description on Amazon:

“Some say Demiel ben Yusef is the world’s most dangerous terrorist, personally responsible for bombings and riots that have claimed the lives of thousands. Others insist he is a man of peace, a miracle worker, and possibly even the Son of God. His trial in New York City for crimes against humanity attracts scores of protestors, as well as media and religious leaders from around the world.

Cynical reporter Alessandra Russo heads to the UN hoping for a piece of the action, but soon becomes entangled in controversy and suspicion when ben Yusef singles her out for attention among all other reporters. As Alessandra begins digging into ben Yusef’s past, she is already in more danger than she knows—and when she is falsely accused of murder during her investigation, she is forced to flee New York.”

The “road trip” is so filled with such intriguing intricate details you feel like you’re inside of a real life ‘smoking gun.’

The most fascinating aspect of the book revolves around these photos:  Fact or Fiction?

As FOX would say, “We report, you decide.”  Linda Stasi in her own words:
