“It’s Thursday, and for anyone with an online presence, you know the day has been rebranded as Throwback Thursday, or #tbt. On May 10th, the Susan G. Komen Foundation will host it’s Global Race for the Cure here in DC in its effort to end breast cancer. Friends over at Komen (h/t Kiki Burger) shared with us this photo of former TODAY Show weatherman Willard Scott and “WKRP’s” Loni Anderson at Komen’s first Global Race in DC, held in 1990. Prior to joining TODAY, Scott was with NBC Washington.

Komen’s race is less than 3 weeks away, and the deadline to register (and still receive an event kit with your t-shirt and bib) is Monday, April 28. We’ll see you at the finish line! And should you need any more incentive to participate, Komen announced yesterday WWE’s John Cena will serve as the event’s Grand Marshal.”

 Our #TBT :

We can’t find the photo, but remember the occasion: ‘Facilities’ were no where in sight along the running trail, so Willard Scott did what any self respecting man would do (we presume you know what any non self respecting man would do), he banged on our door and asked to use our ‘facilities’ after which we got the obligatory photo opp.  The picture was promptly posted above la toilette saying “Willard Scott” was here.  Can’t find the photo, but we joked about it when we ran into each other on the scene.
