“Last night we did a little acoustic set here for TV but also for a small audience. It was just a great all around experience to be able to come and relax and to get a little work done at the same time and a great opportunity to partner with Comcast,” said singer, songwriter, actor, producer and television personality Nick Lachey.

The Inn at Willow Grove is located 90 minutes from Washington, DC and is where a new lifestyle based television series is being created exclusively for Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand platform ‘that celebrates and combines elements of music, food and wine featuring many of Hollywood’s most famous faces.’

“It’s just a one night engagement,” he explained. “I’m here today doing some interviews for the special as well. Unfortunately, as much as I’d like to stay and relax, I have to get back to work. It’s a beautiful spot, just a great intimate kind of an unplugged acoustic vibe, if you will…… great crowd…… great atmosphere. Just a great night.”

At Willow Grove it was about his new album coming out in November 11th. “It’s called Soundtrack of My Life,” he said. “Basically, I’m doing cover songs – songs from movie soundtracks that have meant something to me throughout the course of my life. I was singing a lot of songs from that record last night and am excited to have that album come out. This will be my 4th solo album.”

New to fatherhood, we were naturally interested in another album that had nothing to do with his night at the Inn.

“The album you’re referring to and looking at is a lullaby album I did for Camden,” Nick told Hollywood on the Potomac referring to the cover of his album A Father’s Lullaby. “He certainly inspired that record and the songs that I wrote for him were 100 percent inspired by him. Having a kid changes your perspective on everything in life, that’s just natural.”

A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to both the Nick Lachey Foundation and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange and Madison, Virginia.

“My foundation is called the Nick Lachey Foundation and it’s kind of a general mission statement that we pledge to help children and families in need and some of the organizations that I have partnered with over the years like Big Brothers, Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Club, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes. I wanted to keep the mission of it broad so that I could be able to help a variety of different organizations and thankful I’ve been able to do that.”

“It’s a great opportunity, a great experience and a fantastic facility.  It’s beautiful here. Comcast is doing a series of concerts here and I was, I guess, the first to be a part of that. It’s a great experience to come  here and stay in such a beautiful place.”
