In case you missed it, last weekend marked 2 years for downtown nightclub The Huxley. The locale has been a hotspot almost entirely from Day 1 — the grand opening drew in the Mayor, tech entrepreneurs and many VIPs and the list has only grown since then.  Athletes like Lebron James and 18-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps have partied there. The club has also hosted Grammy Award-winning musician Lil Jon, UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, Reality Television star Brody Jenner, and Kardashian BFF Jonathon Cheban. It has quickly become a spot be seen in Washington.

Outside the city they have taken notice too. Earlier this year, the club was awarded the 2014 Nightclub & Bar Award for Best New Concept. The Huxley is posh but not pretentious and keeps the party lively.

That attitude was on display for the 2nd year Anniversary. Bongo drums? Check. Fire dancer? Check. Light up Hula hoops? Check. Champagne? Double check. The memorable night took the excitement level up to 11 as hundreds packed both rooms, the library and the ballroom of  The Huxley.  Faces new and old partied late into the night on Friday just so that they could do it all over again on Saturday–because who wants a birthday that lasts only one day?

The Huxley is kind of like an entertainment freight train, always pushing forward and never looking back. It has taken DC nightlife to new heights, and even a week later (when some people are probably just recovering from the celebration) Huxley is on the move to the next big celebration. Dance on over if you need somewhere to go and certainly we’ll be on the lookout for that 3rd candle in a year.
