“It’s incredibly validating,” said filmmaker Kristina Reed in reference to her nomination for an Oscar for Best Animated Short, “to have others of your peer filmmakers recognize that you have made something that worthy.” The comment was made at MPAA’s screenings for the 2015 Oscar nominated Short Films a few weeks shy of the Academy Awards. Her film Feast won, making it round two for an Oscar.
