The Mother Nature Network’s White House Correspondents JAM rocked it at the Fairmont Friday night with all the accoutrements of a laid back jam party with the benefits of an open bar. Tie dyes mixed with black tie as the bands played crowd favorites from Neil Young, the Grateful Dead and of course the Rolling Stones. Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell amped up the crowd on stage, and chatted amiably with guests in between sets.

“If getting the ear of Washington was half as easy as coaxing accomplished writers who moonlight as rockers out from behind their laptops and up onto stage, Mother Nature Network Co-Founder Chuck Leavell might very well already be running #ThisTown. Between his musical stature (the veteran keyboardist is gearing up for another tour with the Rolling Stones) and environmental advocacy bona fides (he’s testified before Congress about forestry issues), Leavell seems like the ideal get for the celebrity maelstrom the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner has become. Instead of waiting around for others to court him, the budding media mogul is wooing music lovers via the inaugural White House Correspondents’ Jam.”   Warren Rojas – Heard on the Hill – CQRollCall.

The mission of Mother Nature Network is Improve Your World. Many sites limit “your world” to only “your planet,” but MNN defines it in much broader terms. Your world encompasses many different aspects — your family, your health, your lifestyle, your business, your community and your planet — and so does MNN.
