Tucked away between Alessi and Leopold Kafe in Georgetown’s Cady’s Alley is L2 Lounge, a nightcrawler’s dream.
Most recently it was the destination venue for Luke’s Wings Casino Royale night supporting service members who have been wounded in battle.
A fast car and faster dealers added even more excitement to the James Bond style gala where flick appropriate attire turned out ladies in gorgeous evening wear and well-dressed men who got down to the work at hand……testing Lady Luck at the tables.
The exclusive event feted sponsors and supporters as a thank-you for their generous efforts. Background music from DeeJay Neekola and clips from Bond films gave just the right aura as the roulette wheel spun and cards were dealt.
An outstanding array of prizes went to the highest of the high rollers with the proceeds going directly to Luke’s Wings.
Some of those wounded warriors undergoing long-term treatment were present during the evening and it goes without saying those young people are now friends and much more than beneficiaries of Luke’s Wings generosity.
