For the throngs of press awaiting the arrival of Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis at The Newseum for the VIP screening of their new movie “The Campaign”, happiness was not being told they could ask only one question.
As they debated laying down the tools of their trade in protest, we checked in with everyone’s favorite Hollywood guy – Arch Campbell – to get his reaction.
To fully understand why his voice was important to the situation, here is a bio:
“I’ve reported on movies, theater, and entertainment in Washington, D.C., since the 1970s. I moved here from Dallas to work for WRC-TV News and stayed there 32 years. ABC 7/WJLA hired me in 2007.
Now I appear Mondays and Thursdays on ABC7 News at 5, plus segments on Good Morning Washington and the Friday night ABC7 News at 11. I appear several times a week on NewsChannel 8 and I host The Arch Campbell Show — a half hour entertainment/comedy show that airs Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30 p.m., with reruns on Saturday morning and Saturday night at 10:30 pm.
I grew up in San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in radio/television/film and a master’s degree in journalism. I really love what I do here at ABC7 and NewsChannel 8. Watching a great movie still gives me a thrill.
