Former Major League Baseball Player and 12-time All-Star Mike Piazza was in DC for the Annual National Italian American Foundation Gala to celebrate his roots over the weekend. (shown above chatting with ESPN’s Tony Riali)
Piazza served as the night’s Master of Ceremonies and took a moment before hosting duties to chat with fans and lay out some encouraging words for the Washington Nationals after their tough Friday night playoff loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Dinner Chairman, John Scarpa welcomed thousands of guests from across the United States and Italy to the annual black-tie dinner.
