The annual salute to our nation’s service men and women was held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Washington Hilton by the USO.
Recording artist and actress Jordin Sparks provided the entertainment for an estimated 1100 guests.
In addition to recognizing the five branches of the military, for the first time ever, the USO recognized members of the National Guard.
Special guests included Washington dignitaries, celebrities, military leaders and Members of Congress.
Service member honorees are selected by the Senior Enlisted representatives from each branch of the armed forces for their extraordinary bravery, loyalty and heroism.
