The Brunettes sailed to victory once again at the 8th Annual Blondes vs Brunettes football game to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Girls of all hair color practiced for months and again, they didn’t disappoint when they took the field for this important cause. This year’s fundraising totaled more than $110,000 for the fight against Alzheimer’s.
This year was also a great reminder that this game started as a small fundraiser here in DC eight years ago, but since, Blondes vs. Brunette games have popped up around the nation, all in support of this important cause and raising millions of dollars since inception.
94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly and Danny Rouhier from 106.7 The Fan kept the crowd on their feet as they announced the game from the sidelines and added some humor and snark to the afternoon’s activities.
Team Bru sped off to an early lead in the first half of the game and fended off the the blondes until the final seconds, giving them their seventh win in eight years.
