It was a stylish evening all around when GQ’s “Style Guy” Glenn O’Brien stopped by The Huxley, DC’s new “it” spot, for an evening of cocktails and fodder.

Hosted by Robert Finfer, founder and CEO of Integrity Capital Partners and Co-Founder of Tomahawk Capital, the evening brought together some of Washington’s finest to peruse the new GQ style issue and rub elbows for fashion tips with the man who writes them.
O’Brien joked that he thought the mens magazine released special style issues just because it was a cheap way to re-purpose his work, but all in fun as he worked the room discussing his renowned book “How to Be a Man” and chatting up the crowd about style……….what else.
O’Brien paused to say, “I love velvet” when the weather gets cold and that he has velvet suit that comes out for special occasions like the holidays.
Around the room, some of the female party-goers were ready to admit they knew how they planned to dress this holiday season and sequins seemed to be a festive consensus, so we asked O’Brien just what a man can do to stay in the holiday spirit and keep up with the sparkly females.
“I don’t think we should compete with the women,” said O’Brien, being candid that there isn’t always a way to stay on par. He shared that some of his friends will opt for a simple black tuxedo when the occasion can handle it, simply because it doesn’t distract from the women, and why shouldn’t we let them shine.
