Nominees were announced last night for the restaurant industry’s Oscars – the RAMMYs – at a soiree at The Hamilton.
Hosts FRESH 94.7’s Tommy McFly and Kelly Collis, along with RAMW president Kathy Hollinger, read the names of the winners to a packed house who were sampling the tastes in the form of hors d’oeuvres, of some of the restaurant nominees.

The 31st annual RAMMY Awards will take place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on Sunday, June 23 with the theme being Restaurants in Bloom in homage to the city’s ever evolving dining scene. The annual fete, which last year attracted over 1,600 guests, is an opportunity to present awards to finalists in a variety of categories like “New Restaurant,” “Chef of the Year,” “Hottest Restaurant Bar Scene,” and “Casual Restaurant of the Year.”
While some of the awards are selected by a panel of judges, others, like “Best Neighborhood Gathering Place” are popular votes. A ballot will be available through City Paper’s webpage in April.
This year’s venerable list of nominees are as follows (and the envelope please):
