For those stargazers who weren’t lucky enough to score a ticket to this year’s “nerdprom” there was still plenty of fun to be had.
Buzzfeed proved once again that you don’t have to be conventional to be a part of the action…they hosted a party during the Correspondents’ Dinner called the Buzzfeed BBQ which offered music, food and drink, and fun stickers to spice up the C-SPAN coverage from inside the Washington Hilton.
Hundreds of celebrants (including a pop-in from the cast of House of Cards) proved that you don’t have to be in the room to be part of the fun.
They also dined earlier in the weekend at Georgetown’s Cafe Milano while nearby tables hosted Sharon Stone on one side and Michael J. Fox, Jay Carney and George Stephanopoulos on the other.
Fox has, of course, played characters on Spin City and in Aaron Sorkin’s The American President in the past reminiscent of Stephanopoulos. Sometimes art and life come face-to-face.
