It’s all about REDDz!

It was a “Red” hot evening both inside and out of the new REDDz Trading in Georgetown, an extension of Wendy “Red” Ezrailson’s wildly popular upscale consignment store in Bethesda.  Ezrailson was previoiusly the founder of Commander Salamander and Up Against the Wall, two eclectic stores in the area for years.

“REDDz is a modern approach to recycled designer clothing and accessories, featuring gently used Chanel, Louis, Gucci as well as other popular brands,” the owner explained.

“This location became available and I said “This is it.”  “I love the store, I love the space and we made it happen.”

Lanzone, Ezrailson and De Paul

We asked her how she got in the “Secondhand Rose” business.  “You can get so much more for your money here, it’s fabulous shopping.  Over my lifetime I have bought millions of Chanel bags and all designer bags and I said to my husband, just think of all the money I could have saved you – a fortune if I had known about these stores beforehand.”

Vince De Paul reading HOP column in Washington Life

Special guest Vince De Paul – award winning actor of The Artist, Poseidon, Hitch, The House of Cards, The West Wing, Mad Men, Fraiser and Hairspray – mingled with guests and talked to Hollywood on the Potomac about his time with actor, director John Watters (click on below video) and how astonished he was to discover that Watters had an authentic electric chair at his dining room table.

The Lanzone Brothers

Two time Olympian Giuseppe Lanzone, also a special guest, rowed for Team USA in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and again in London 2012 but is currently one half of the Peruvian Brothers food truck phenomenon. “I’ve always wanted to start something with my brother and my family, so this is it,” he explained regarding the switch in professions.
