The 19th Annual Funniest Celebrity in Washington Contest is set to take place tonight on Wednesday, September 25th at the DC Improv. Be there.

This year’s contestants will include: Josh Gotbaum, Director of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation for the White House; Clarence Page, Ralph Nader, Grover Norquist, Heather Higgins, Independent Women’s Forum; Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA),Jamie McIntyre of NPR; CNN’s Candy Crowley, Elahe Izadi of The National Journal and Jamie Weinstein of The Daily Caller and FOX News. Emcee is funnyman Matt Cooper of The National Journal. Comedian Breatt Leake is receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Proceeds this year will go to Pension Rights Center and FERHA, the Foundation for the Education and Rebirth of Haiti. Media sponsors are The National Journal and WMAL Radio.
The Funniest Celebrity Contest was founded by Richard Siegel in 1987 as a fundraiser for area and national non-profits. Each year, the contest brings together celebrities from the worlds of politics, media and sports to compete for the title of The Funniest Celebrity in Washington.
