Wednesday evening saw the unleashing of the 11th annual Sugar and Champagne Affair at The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The event brings together over 60 of the area’s top toques from restaurants which included Equinox and Watershed, Central Michel Richard, Bastille, Marcel’s, Restaurant Eve, Ris, The Daily Dish and more; along with Champagne and spirits producers and mixologists, all sampling their talents and products to guests—of both the two and four legged varieties.
Sugar and Champagne was emceed this year by FRESH 94.7’s Tommy McFly (along with his poochie, Chip, his notably silent, yet silky soft partner, who rocked a tasteful full body fur coat).
Let’s face it, there’s nothing better than looking out on a sea of cocktail clad humanity combined with smartly attired caninity, all circulating the Reagan Building atrium. Glasses clinked, plates were full and wagging tails abounded. It must have been interesting getting all those leashes collars through the metal detectors, but it was yet another fete not to be missed, and all for a good cause.
