Union Market, the revitalized district in Northeast DC, hosted its drive-in movie series finale with an outdoor screening of Casino Royale (2006). The quintessential American pastime took place in the market’s parking lot, projected on the market’s three-story wall.

Union Market’s popular drive-in series has attracted immense crowds since its inception in 2013. The event offers communal fun and vintage kitsch for DMV residents and tourists alike. This year’s Summer Escapes series featured timeless blockbusters such as Forgetting Sarah MarshallThe Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and Surf’s Up. Union Market plans to continue the drive in movie series throughout the year.

Movie buffs noshed on theater-worthy delectables from Timber Pizza Co and sipped on pop sodas from Suburbia DC. The event exuded 1950’s nostalgia as the DC Roller Girls skated around offering the audience old-fashioned Cracker Jacks and lollipops.
