“Being a part of the host team for the Inaugural Dîner en Blanc was a very special experience,” co-organizer Linda Davis told Hollywood on the Potomac.”Bringing this international phenomena to Washington and seeing 1500 people come together for a night of exquisite chivalry was beyond words.”
The global epicurean impromptu picnic hosted by local organizers Linda Davis, Bryer Davis and Justin Ross “promotes friendship, gallantry and the coming together of a community.” Fifty cities around the world will have hosted DEB by the end of 2014, including New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Montreal, Vancouver, Philadelphia and Sydney.
“Seeing the thought, creativity and effort put into outfits, table decor and food actually come to fruition was incredible. Our guests were stunningly stylish and festive – I felt so proud of DC,” added co-organizer Bryer Davis. “The most magical part of the evening was seeing the wave of sparklers light up and spread across the sea white. It was dreamlike.”
The event took place at Yards Park in Capitol Riverfront in Washington, DC and was sponsored by Möet Ice Imperial, the world’s first-ever champagne ‘created to be enjoyed on ice.’
“Holding the city’s inaugural Dîner en Blanc along the capital riverfront was a great way to expose Washingtonians to a neighborhood that has seen a tremendous amount of growth over the past few years. The ambiance of the night was perfect and we are so thrilled with the event’s success,” concluded event planner Justin Ross.
