If you think that DC is a buttoned up, suit-and-tie kind of city, you obviously weren’t at the Capitol File reception at the trendy Longview Gallery where the Fall issue showcased all types of stylish men from government to entrepreneurs. It made a pretty convincing case that it’s all a matter of personal expression and DC’s got it!

The latest issue was launched at the swank reception where guests mingled and mixed for a perfect autumn evening in a predominantly male setting: hearty bites, moonshine cocktails and amazing video-games on huge TVs thanks to sponsor ESA, the Entertainment Software Association.
Two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner graced the cover and talked about the CIA in his new drama, Kill the Messenger.

The big party news though was the scoop that Renner revealed during a recent screening hosted by Capitol File at MPAA. The dapper action star who people will recognize from The Avengers and The Bourne Legacy came to DC to show off his film, but it was his personal life that got people buzzing. It ended up making national news that Renner was wearing a wedding ring and when asked point blank about it, he admitted that he had married his girlfriend in secret but made a point of saying that he just wanted to protect her privacy and his 17-month old daughter.
The manly evening was proof once again that DC is not the stiff, boring town it sometimes gets labeled.
