“It’s interesting. We have a great relationship. There’s that professional side and there’s the personal side,” Donny Osmond told Hollywood on the Potomac during a backstage interview on the eve of the opening night of Donny & Marie: Christmas at The National. He was, of course, referring to his younger sister Marie. Both have been performing since childhood – he at five and she at three. Both have successfully bypassed their child star beginnings and become American superstars.

“We give the audience variety that you can’t believe,” said Osmond regarding the Christmas special. “You know, you go to other Christmas shows and it’s just like what you expect. I think that when you come to the Donny & Marie Show, they get a lot more than what they expect. It is nostalgic for us because we get to relive all those great memories of growing up as kids in a huge family.”
What you can expect is “A Little Bit of Country, A Little Bit Rock ‘n Roll”…… a musical trip down memory lane sprinkled with the spirit of Christmas.

“I’ve been everything in show business,” he said gratefully referring to his prolific career. “I appreciate all of the success.” That success would include being a singer, actor, television host, best-selling author, commercial spokesman, motivational speaker, and in 2014 he added designer to that list launching Donny Osmond Home with his wife of 36 years, Debbie. He has earned 33 gold records, sales of more than 100 million albums, and is currently working on his 60th album with a scheduled release of January 13, 2015.
Donny & Marie: Christmas at The National opens tonight, December 2nd and plays through December 7th. You can get your tickets here.
