“Let me say I’m so excited to honor an individual who has brought part of Maine to our nation’s capital,” said Senator Susan Collins at the Grand Opening of the Georgetown Showroom of Thos. Moser. “When so much is mass manufactured, doesn’t last and has no real charm to it, what an anecdote to all of that is Tom Moser and his craftsmanship.”  Collins, Senator Angus King and Congressman Bruce Poliquin were among the 200 guests.

Back by popular demand, Thos. Moser has returned to Georgetown in a new location, just down the street from the previous showroom. The new 5,500-square-foot showroom located at 1028 33rd Street, NW, displays Thos. Moser’s Handmade American Furniture as pieces of art in a gallery setting. The historic building features stone walls along three sides providing a rustic backdrop for its signature chairs, tables, stools and chests, among other fine solid wood furniture, as well as its newest contemporary lines including the award-winning Cumberland Collection designed by Adam Rogers.

Tom Moser was on hand to greet loyal customers, media and politicos including Moser’s son Aaron Moser, who heads up the Moser Contract Division who was introduced by King.

“What you see here is the epitome of what Maine is all about – quality and pride and craftsmanship,” said King. He also introduced Poliquin and said what an honor it is to serve with Collins. “To have three-fourths of the Maine delegation here at one place at one time isn’t all that common.”
