Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Actor Tim Daly and Actress Tea Leoni were among the happy campers at the CBS-Atlantic Media reception preceding the WHCAD at the Washington Hilton hosted by David Rhodes, CBS News and David Bradley, Chairman & CEO of Atlantic Media.  The threesome were inseparable, and not without reason.  In the CBS Madam Secretary series, Tea plays a fictional Secretary of State and co-star Daly plays her husband.  Throw in CBS Bob Schieffer and you have the perfect “Nerd Prom.”  Tea was Schieffer’s date, Daly claimed Secetary Albright. Besties forever.

Last fall, Hollywood on the Potomac captured the now besties at the premiere of Madame Secretary befittingly held at The Institute of Peace:

John Dickerson, who replaces Schieffer when he retires this summer from Face the Nation, held court close by.  Dickerson is the son of Wyatt Dickerson and his late mother Nancy who herself  was a pioneering television newswoman.

Rounding out the triangle of court holding was actress Michelle Monaghan, most recently known for her role in Fort Bliss as a decorated U.S. Army medic and single mother struggling to rebuild her relationship with her young son after returning home from an extended tour in Afghanistan.

Anyone suggesting there wasn’t much star power at this year’s event, obviously weren’t at the CBS-Atlantic Media pre-party.
