Thos. Moser’s Georgetown Showroom Manager Kevin Sweitzer and his team, Assistant Showroom Manager Tucker Riner and Sales Associate Ed Myrtle, hosted an intimate evening event in the DC Showroom to raise awareness for the nonprofit Room to Rebloom, established to help survivors of domestic abuse make their homes beautiful as they reestablish their lives.

“We enjoy the company of the DC design community,” said Sweitzer. “They bring awareness to this fantastic organization providing survivors of domestic violence a home to reset their lives.”  He also offered a first look at new Auburn Chair & Stool.

“One of the most moving moments for us, and one that underscored for us the value of what we’re doing, is when a client told us, ‘When I walk into this room and see the changes in it, it makes me feel that change is possible for me, too,’” said Room to Rebloom Founder Enid McKitrick, who is also a clinical social worker. “Room to Rebloom is founded on the belief that good design has the power to lift people up, to empower and inspire them,” she noted.

Room to Rebloom Founding Board Member Liz Levin, who is also an interior designer, says the Thos. Moser Showroom setting was “particularly fitting for this event, amongst the stunning timeless and new designs by the Handmade American Furniture maker. Thos. Moser has generously donated to our Second Annual Rebloom on the Roof at The Graham Georgetown on May 26. We hope to rally more Georgetown business supporters for our event co-hosted by Barry Dixon and Will Thomas.”

During the gathering, Thos. Moser offered a sneak peek of its newest designs, including the Auburn Chair and Stool and the Sequel Chair and Table, which are being released in the Spring catalog and in April during Tom Moser’s five-city book tour. Tom will be in Washington, DC on Saturday, April 23 from 1-4 p.m. to sign complimentary copies of his latest book, Thos. Moser: Legacy in Wood. Room to Rebloom guests also received copies of the book.
