Claudia Jean Cregg, a.k.a. C. J., is the role she played on the television series The West Wing which earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. The character is loosely based on Clinton Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers who served as a consultant to the show. We hear that the real White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest is out pounding the payment looking for another day job.

“It’s all made us look pretty stupid because none of us forecast, at least the Republican side, this way at all,” joked Nina Totenberg on the campaign of Donald Trump. Totenberg is the award-winning legal affairs correspondent for National Public Radio who suggested that moving forward journalists should just shut up about their predictions.
