“Forbidden fruit tastes so much sweeter,” as the saying goes.  Such was the case at the 4th Annual White House Correspondents’ No Sponsors No Cameras No Press No Hassles Party hosted by Funny Or Die and United Talent Agency at Fiola Mare on the Georgetown waterfront.  Here’s proof:

Valerie Jarrett

The pro Hillary crowd that included Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Obama; Karen Finney, spokesperson to the Clinton 2016; and Jonathan Capehart, Washington Post’s editorial blogger were happy campers assuming at this point that the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party presidential race was headed straight to the Clinton Camp.

Hollywood on the Potomac sat down with veteran WHCAD guest Victoria Monroe who has been in the business & media world in Washington for twenty years and has gone to about fifteen such dinners. She reminisced about her favorites: “George W.’s last and Obama’s first were both memorable just because of the energy, the humor, and they were very pointed in their remarks. Yes, they were the most memorable.” What do you think Obama will do this round? Do you think he’ll rag on Trump?  “I think he’ll do as he normally does, which is just to use his amazing sense of humor. He brings a scalpel and precision of humor in to it. He’ll do an amazing job of pointing out the foibles and follies of our political process.”

The party lasted to 2:30 AM…….closing down just in time to get that 3 AM phone call.

Funny Or Die is an Emmy-winning comedy video website and film-TV production company founded by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy that catapulted to fame when President Barack Obama sat down for an interview with Zach Galifianakis between two ferns………..yes, we said that……..between two ferns.
