A favorite in the D.C. Metro area Barbara Harrison, Anchor/Reporter for NBC4, was honored with The Board of Governors Award which recognizes achievements in worthwhile endeavors within the National Capital Chesapeake Bay’s region during the 59th Emmy® Awards Gala at the in Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.  This premier television production award will be presented in various sectors of the television industry, including entertainment programming, news and documentary shows.

During his speech at the awards, Heintz said: “Whether you work in Journalism, Entertainment or Marketing, what holds us together is that we’re able to do what we do because we live in a country that holds free speech and a free press among its highest ideals.”
