Florence Henderson, who played one of television’s most famous moms in The Brady Brunch, was indeed a lovely lady (February 14, 1934 to November 24, 2016). Hollywood on the Potomac interviewed her many times over the years at The Kennedy Center Honors Brunch.  She was always engaging and generous with her time.

Seems like yesterday we were chatting it up with Florence Henderson at The Kennedy Center Honors Brunch hosted by George and Liz Stevens at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel; now we’ll be watching The Brady Bunch star on NBC this Sunday for The Super Bowl while noshing on Kobe beef sliders – well, maybe not Kobe – Kettle Corn, pizza, chips and hyper-spiced salsa.

The Super Bowl is known for it’s ads as much as the game itself.  This year, some ads were released early including The Brady Bunch Snickers one which has already been viewed on YouTube by over 4 million.  We just want you to know that we are not spoilers. Snickers unveiled its 30-second commercial spot hyping the candy’s “you’re not you when you’re hungry” theme that features actors Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi.  It takes place right after a famous scene where ‘Peter’ hits ‘Marcia’ in the nose with a football.  We don’t know if it was deflated.

We wondered about Henderson’s reaction to the ad, so we asked her. “I’m thrilled to be a part of The Super Bowl,” she told Hollywood on the Potomac.  “Sharing the screen with Steve Buscemi and Danny Trejo was an added bonus!!”
