There’s a lot of bonding going on these days in Washington and it’s not between the Republicans and the Democrats.
James Bond crisscrossed the city last night from the British Embassy to Lima Restaurant and Lounge.
Although you may know James Bond to order a Vesper Martini, “shaken not stirred”, this years’ 007 blockbuster comes with a twist! With Heineken being the new sponsor of the latest Bond film Skyfall, our very own Daniel Craig seems to enjoy this refreshing beer just the same as the guests did at last night’s French Party at Lima.
With an open Heineken Bar, guests were dressed to impress! The men sported a sleek Bond look with black suits and black ties while our dazzling damsels were as red hot as the famous Bond girls themselves.
Feeling Lucky? A few of Lima’s guests certainly were, entering in a raffle that would win them the entire Bond collection. But first things first – in order to enter the raffle, guests had to answer a few 007 “must knows” correctly to win the prize.
One of the questions on the raffle slip sparked a little chatter and led guests to conclude who has won the title of “Best Bond.” Although Sean Connery was the fan favorite there was much hype about Daniel Craig tying for first place in the 007 competition!
Guests told Hollywood and the Potomac that the “night was as fabulous as Bond himself.” Others noted that the red chandeliers and James Bond theme song playing via violinist just added to the chic ambiance.
A picture’s worth a thousand words AND they last longer! The French Tuesday’s hosts definitely took this into account and set up various locations for every smile to be caught on camera with cardboard cutouts of Bond scattered throughout the room.
With music, dancing, prizes, and an open bar… this was one evening secret agent guests were sure to never forget!
