If you’re looking for a dynamic, exciting way to pass away the last nights of summer, the newest Cirque Du Soleil performance to breeze into the DC metro area is certainly an option to consider.

Underneath the blue-and-yellow Big Top at the Plateau at National Harbor, Cirque is set to amaze audiences with a mix of acrobatics, singing, juggling, comedy and mind-bending aerial acts. The new production, dubbed TOTEM, is an exploration of man’s evolution and position in nature.

Beyond the regular band of acrobats, this production includes native themed acts including songs performed using original dialect.

In June, Hollywood on the Potomac sat down with performer Christian Lavaeu and TOTEM Artistic Director Tim Smith to get a peek behind the scenes on this brilliant production.
