Kate Hudson is not in Tampa, nor will she be attending the DNC convention next week in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rather, she is in Venice, Italy at “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” Premiere And Opening Ceremony of The 69th Venice Film Festival, decked out in Faberge to boot.
She wore the Charmeuse Créoles Earrings, Charmeuse Bangle and Charmeuse Blanche Ring from Fabergé High Jewellery collection – Les Fabuleuses.
“Les Fabuleuses de Fabergé is a High Jewellery collection of uniquely individual, one-of-a-kind jewelled masterworks which possesses the modernity, refinement and technical perfection of Fabergé’s original captivating works of art.” Faberge
The 69th Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia, will run at Venice Lido August 29th through September 8th, 2012, directed by Alberto Barbera.
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote all the various aspects of international cinema in all its forms: as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and tolerance. The Festival includes retrospectives and homages to major figures as a contribution towards raising awareness of the history of cinema.
Although we won’t be there, we have Alessandro Ago, director of programming and special projects at the USC School of Cinematic Arts there passing along the gossip.
Ago curates Outside the Box (Office), a screening series dedicated to bringing new international, documentary and independent cinema to USC. He also oversees all Dean’s Council Visions and Voices programming for the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Beyond USC, Ago has produced festivals celebrating the work of John Wayne, Roger Corman, Costa Gavras, Maurice Jarre and Albert Broccoli, as well as the James Bond franchise. He also has assembled world cinema showcases focusing on Japan, Italy, Bollywood and the Middle East. Holding both Italian and American citizenship, Ago grew up in Washington, D.C., and Rome, Italy. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. (shameless plug and full disclosure….Ago is Janet Donovan’s son)
