The historic Howard Theatre reopened in a flash of funk thanks to music from Trombone Shorty and George Clinton who were on hand to entertain the nearly 1000 guests.
The April 12th event was a fundraiser to support the efforts to build the Howard Theatre Culture and Education Center to include the museum, recording studio, listening library, classrooms and donor lounge.
