Everyone knows the glitz and glamour of the Vanity Fair after party for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, but it’s easily the toughest ticket in town to get—so where was everyone else partying?
Well, if Vanity Fair was for grown-ups, then BuzzFeed and Facebook’s party across town was definitely the kids’ party………..and that, by the way, was nothing to be ashamed of.
No, it’s not!
This is the second year that BuzzFeed has sponsored what has turned into the Anti-dinner party, since it actually starts during the dinner itself—but that still drew in plenty of interesting names through the course of the night like Dean Cain and the cast of House of Cards. The theme for the evening was ‘Bowties and Burgers’ and that’s just what you got. Guests munched and mingled, took photos, and played with a host of Facebook and BuzzFeed props that got everyone in the techy mood.
And no BuzzFeed party is complete without their signature WTF?
Across town as the dinner was letting out, another mainstay party for the weekend was the MSNBC after party, held this year at the National Building Museum.

The party is always a mix of media and stars all looking to let down their hair for a night of fun.
Naturally the team from the Today Show was making the rounds, as well as other NBC correspondents like Andrea Mitchell, David Gregory and Chuck Todd. There were Olympians and actors and a mix you’re not likely to see many other places. Guests were treated to music act ‘Jimmy Eat World’ for a true throwback sound that got everyone dancing.
