It’s always good to be in the winners circle, especially if you’re competing against Congressional Members.  Bloomberg News’s Greg Giroux, Roll Call’s Shira T. Center, The Washington Post’s Paul Kane, The New York Times’ Jonathan Martin, and The Los Angeles Times’ Mike Memoli as members of Team “Press Pass” were just that when they won National Journal’s 6th Annual Hotline Political Pursuit night at The Newseum.

If Mr. Rogers were still around he probably would have called it a ‘loverly day in the neighborhood’ for reporters.

“We’re definitely going to win,” said Rep. Rich Hudson. “We’re the members of Congress. We’re overachievers. We’re the ones that sat in the front row of class and asked all the questions.  So, we’re here to win.”  Oopsie!
