It’s all about jobs these days, but not necessarily in the same context.
Scenario I: Jobs as defined by Websters Dictionary, i.e. work, employment
“Today’s report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicates that the unemployment rate declined from 7.6 percent to 7.4 percent in July, reaching its lowest level since December 2008. The unemployment rate for African Americans fell from 13.7 percent to 12.6 percent, also its lowest level since December 2008. The unemployment rate for women fell from 7.3 percent to 7.0 percent, its lowest level since January 2009, and from 7.8 percent to 7.7 percent for men.” Source – The White House Blog Post August 2nd. No idea how they come up with these figures but we get the weekly status reports and we’re happy the job opps are going up.
Scenario 2: jOBS, A biological drama based on the life of Steve Jobs which opens nation-wide on August 16th. Jobs was the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. The flick has been getting mixed reviews, but a heads up for Ashton Kutcher who plays Jobs.

May seem like an odd couple, but they share the dedication to education.
A look back to July, 2010. Mayor Adrian Fenty: Education Is Our No. 1 Priority. With the Democratic primary fast approaching, education has become a key issue in the fight between DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and Council Chairman Vincent Gray. Last night, Fenty supporters — including Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee — convened at Comet Ping Pong in Upper Northwest to show their support for the incumbent.
Hollywood on the Potomac did an interview for NBC Niteside with the former Mayor of DC while he was running for re-election. The education issue with he and Michelle Rhee caused quite a stir. Click on the below.
