The Washington based travel writer, columnist, social chronicler-turned-novelist who looks like she just stepped out of a romance novel is local author Karin Tanabe who is celebrating the publication of her second novel “The Price of Inheritance.” From the author of The List, this new tomb centers around a young woman working in the high-end art world who stumbles upon a rare antique—and an irresistible man with a dark past.

“With my first book, I heard from a lot of people that it did not have enough sex,” she told Hollywood on the Potomac. “I was like…..okay…..so in my second book, I went about making a hunkier (don’t ask) male protagonist. So I hopefully did a good job at that and it’s much more a love story than I wrote in my first book – so that was a fun challenge too.”
