Guests were still laughing at the hilarity of President Obama’s speech en route to the MSNBC After Party at the Institute of Peace following the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton where “bucket list” took on new meaning. “Do you have a bucket list? I say, well I have something that rhymes with bucket,” Obama deadpanned to a receptive audience of politicians, celebrities and reporters. “Immigration executive action? Bucket! Stricter climate rules? Bucket!”
MSNBC food correspondent Tom Colicchio
“That’s what I love about this event,” said President of MSNBC Phil Griffin. “They both crack me up.” Both, of course, refers to the other comedic headliner Cecily Strong who had enough chops to keep up with the President. “President Obama came out in support for putting women on money — as opposed to DEA agents who prefer to put money on women.” Think Secret Service antics in Bogota, Columbia. Look it up!
S.E. Cupp, columnist & political commentator
“I think the President was hilarious,” S.E. Cupp told Hollywood on the Potomac.
Cecily Strong
“I think it’s great because it is over,” said a relaxed Cecily Strong.
President Obama can relax now too. He thinks it’s great that when his Presidency is over he might be leaving it in the good hands of Bernie Sander, I-Vt. “Apparently, people really want to see a pot-smoking socialist in the White House. We could get a third Obama term after all,” he quipped.
