Meet the Newzdudes!
It was a collaboration, not a competition, when blue joined forces with pink for the second annual Men Against Breast Cancer event, the first of its kind in the country where male on air talent from all media affiliates across all spectrums showed up for the cause.
The symbolic ribbon is pink and blue to show that breast cancer is a partnership between men and women fighting this disease together.
OK – so maybe the gelato wasn’t color compliant, but no one seemed to mind.
According to their mission statement, MABC is the first national501(c)3 non-profit organization specifically designed to provide targeted support services to educate and empower men to be effective caregivers and target men to be active participants in increasing awareness and fighting breast cancer. Leon Harris, one of our favorite Newzdudes, inspired the crowd.

The event was held at Redline, a luxury gastropub in Penn Quarter with many sponsors. And yes, Newsbabes showed up to support their men.
