“He’s written a magnificent book that is already on the best-seller list – contrary to the wishes of The New York Times – but there is truth and justice in the world,” said globetrotting art collector and super lobbyist Tony Podesta who hosted a book party for David Brock’s latest: Killing the Messenger.  The former conservative Brock, who was an investigative reporter for The American Spectator, did a complete political turn around after founding Media Matters for America in 2004.  The subtitle of his book is: The Right-Wing Plot to Derail Hillary and Hijack Your Government.  So yes, it’s fair to say that Brock and the Clintons have made up.

“Those of you who may remember, Senator Franken once wrote a book called Lies: And the Lying Liars Who Tell Them.  That was an inspiration for Media Matters, because basically that’s what Media Matters is – online, everyday without the humor and thank you for that,” Brock said in his opening remarks.
