Rent it!

This is a public service announcement:

We all know the heartbreak of falling into the fashion abyss.  But chins up, little Buckaroos.  There is hope:  Rent the Runway – The fashion rental website that pairs women suffering from lack of closet space with designer frocks and accessories.

With a bevy of inauguration balls just around the corner, this mecca of finery brought a pop up showroom to Living Social HQ at 918 F Street, offering what was dubbed “Faith in Fashion’s Future” to over 1000 ticket holders and interested fashionistas….at a 20% discount for anything rented on site.  As God is my witness, I will never be badly outfitted again (cue the ominous, pathos driven chord)!

“Living Social decided to partner with Rent the Runway because we really wanted to bring Dour female consumer base fun, affordable fashion in time for the inaugural balls,” said Lauren Hengl, Living Social’s new initiatives manager.  “Our consumer base is really excited about fashion and the HQ at 918 F Street is a flexible space right in the heart of the city that’s perfect for showcasing the fashions and accommodating the crowd.”

Let’s face it, we all want accessible glamour for the inaugural balls, Valentine’s Day, date night…and beyond; and there is nothing like a room brimming with Nicole Miller, Halston Heritage, Badgley Mischka and more.

Rent the Runway is the premier online destination for dress and accessory rentals with a revolving roster of over 170 top designers, 35,000 of the season’s hottest dresses, and 7,000 accessories delivered to renters’ doorstep for a fraction of the price.  All we couture-challenged have to do is log into www.renttherunway.com and browse.  Choices show up via mail at your designated date.  It’s like magic…but without having to deal with the annoyance of David Copperfield, Criss Angel or David Blane.
