“There was a great vibe in the air during Preview Day,” said Taylor Wells, DC Design House corporate office and designer liaison at the 8th Annual DC Design House Preview Day of DC Design House. “People were coming up to me saying the house was fresh with new design ideas.” More than 250 guests attended the opening day. The 24 design firms who designed the 28 spaces in the 2015 DC Design House, which benefits Children’s National Health System, were on hand to answer questions about their rooms in the 8,869-square-foot new home built by Artisan Builders. Located at 956 Mackall Farms Lane in McLean, VA this year, the DC Design House’s first venture into Virginia, the home, designed by Harrison Design, includes three finished levels in a farmhouse-style home priced at $4.895 million. It’s open until May 10th.

It has all the charm with new applications for life now in a great location with all the must-haves,” said Susan Hayes long, DC Design House chair.
Skip Singleton, DC Design House co-founder, says: “I think one can feel the energy and excitement in this house. It’s fresh, detailed, layered, and a lot to take in… frankly in each design space. Even the designers are excited not only about their own spaces, but also about the spaces of the others. This collective group of designers truly seem joyous around each other. There is magic here!”
