Voting rights are “the march of our time,” said First Lady Michelle Obama at The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation annual gala on Saturday night – “the movement of our time.”
The voting rights issue is playing emphatically in this year’s coming election with skepticism on both sides as to how to keep the ballot boxes safe from fraud, while not denying anyone the right to vote.
“The basis and foundation of our democratic form of government is the right to vote. Voting is one of the most important tools Americans have to influence the policies the government adopts.
Unfortunately, many Americans are effectively denied their right to vote.” The Leadership Conference.
