What will Tapper say….

The Newseum will host a special advance screening of the highly anticipated film “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” tonight, the day before it hits theaters Dec. 18th, with a special appearance by David Koechner, Champ Kind in “Anchorman 2” who will be joined by CNN anchor Jake Tapper to discuss the film.

No one is really sure how the Anchorman phenomena began, probably not even Ferrell himself.  The original film is some nine years old and the sequel is due out tomorrow.  While an exaggerated imitation of both a newsroom and the anchors is the focus, Ferrell’s character of Ron Burgundy does indeed bring home some truths to an otherwise comedic experience: The challenges that women faced in the newsrooms in the 1970s and the exaggerated self importance of the anchors.

Ferrell made a personal appearance at The Newseum recently.  Hollywood on the Potomac was there.  A look back:
